The Stove - An Invitation


From The Stove 
We hope that you will be able to join us at The Stove on 4th April for :
·      A premiere of the film the First Foot live art event presented by The Stove as part of the Big Burns Supper – January 2012
·      An update on progress The Stove projects….the building, the projects and the people
·      The launch of 3 high-profile Commission opportunities for artists to work in Dumfries for 5 months leading up to Inbetween:Dumfries (November 2012)
·      A creative session for people wishing to shape and take part in Stove events in the remainder of 2012.

Programme:

·      5.30 – Welcome and screening of First Foot movie
·      6 pm – Update on Stove activity and future (inc commission launch)
·      6.30  -  Start of Creative Session (primarily for arts practitioners who want to participate in events…but everyone is welcome to stay)
·      8pm Close

Refreshments will be served (well available – if not exactly served)

BREAKING NEWS – we have just found out that The Stove is one of two projects that have been given an award by The Edward Marshall Trust. This is a national award scheme that gives grants every 3 years to building project for a special design element of excellence to be incorporated within the building.
