Artist Rooms - Gracefield...advance notice

Vija Celmins Desert,Galaxy (graphite on acrylic ground on paper) 1974
Artists Rooms is a major project across the UK made possible by the bequest by Anthony d'Offay of his collection to the nation. Sets of work by individual artists in the collection are being placed in particular galleries...recent highlights have included Bill Viola at Pier Arts in Orkney and Robert Mapplethorpe in Inverness. Gracefield's turn is nearly upon us - our curators have chosen to display the work of Vija Celmins. The exhibition will run from 21st May to 30th July - Anthony d'Offay will give a talk about the artist at the opening
