Future of The Fankle

Future of the Fankle

The Fankle Issue 6 is about to come out - which means we've done a whole year's worth of issues, and more or less to schedule as well. We'll be announcing when it's available soon, but meanwhile we're considering the Fankle's future. We'd like to continue with it but feel it probably needs a wider support base - not just submitting work(but of course more is always welcome!) but helping with the costs, folding, editing and particularly distributing it.

The Fankle doesn't cost much to produce, but it does take time and effort. We think that a place like Dumfries and Galloway needs a cheap and cheerful literary pamphlet but we need help! I've posted a proposal up on the Fankle blog so please visit, have a look, cast your vote and most importantly have your say. If you've not come across the Fankle before, have a look at our website, http://thefankle.net/ - or get yourself down to one of our suppliers and buy a copy while stocks last. The current issue ('Not the Robert Burns Edition') has been selling fast...

  2. Where else can you get a fiendish piece of origami and a pile of poems at the same time. Last time I looked in the fankle box there was issues 2 & 3 (I had a 1) and that seemed only a couple of weeks ago, now you're about to issue 6. I'm falling behind - I'd better hoof it round to my bookshop right now and sort it out.
