Matt and I had an excellent meeting yesterday with Ewan Green Head of Economic Regeneration, Eric Brown Business Adviser Creative Clusters at Business Gateway, Lesley Rogers, newly appointed Creative Arts Business Development Officer at Gracefield, Bruce Clarke of Bruce Clarke Associates and Adam Wellings of Adam Wellings Consulting Limited.
The meeting lasted well over an hour with much debate on how we realise our ambitions of making The Stove happen. Bruce and Adam have been given the brief to focus on what is needed to make the Stove sustainable and what sort of operational and revenue model we need.
Ewan is very enthusiastic about The Stove and brings the backing of council support with him. Both Eric and Lesley can see opportunities to assist and work with us.
Bruce and Adam will carry out a concise report with the agenda firmly fixed on finance, venue operation and the all important legal model as to who owns what etcetera. Diaries are being bashed for further meetings and we'll keep The Commonty updated as and when things happen.
No actual members of the living dead were raised during the meeting.
