con-TEXT Designer Maker Residency - Borders

con-TEXToffers designer makers from the Scottish Borders and Dumfries & Galloway opportunities to expand their ideas, explore technology and develop innovative products through residencies at Heriot Watt University's School of Textiles and Design, in Galashiels.  The initiative is being funded through Creative Scotland's ambitious  ‘Creative Futures’ programme which is designed to promote the professional development, vision, connectivity and ambitions of Scotland’s creative practitioners and organisations

Six residencies will be offered on a competitive basis over the coming year in two separate calls.
The primary aims of con-TEXT are:
·    To create new professional development opportunities for creative practitioners   through collaboration and access to research facilities
·      To increase ambition and connectivity
·      To promote innovation and the creation of new products
·      To explore and create new markets
