Lochinch Castle Summer Art Fair - now open

Amazing automata, quirky pottery, stylish sculpture and  more is on display at the old stableyard at Lochinch Castle, Castle Kennedy. A wide range of art work by Dumfries and Galloway artists, with prices ranging from under £5 to over £1000, can be seen all week from Sunday the 3rd  July to Saturday 9th July from 10.00am -5.00pm with late opening till 8.00pm on Thursday 7th July.  Entry is free, wine and nibbles are available on Thursday night and the setting is spectacular.
David Williams - 'Drawing Engine'
Among  the twenty two artists are David Williams who creates intricate and complex meccano and kinetic sculptures  (do look out for his 'ode to bureaucracy',  Jennifer Watt's graceful sculpture of a figure with a dove (see photograph below), David Shackleton's wonderful painted pottery and wall plaques and Urpu Sellar's amusing ceramics.
