Dumfries & Galloway Arts Festival

Dumfries & Galloway Arts Festival
Event Hosts Open Meeting
Tues 4 October, 7:00 pm
Gracefield Arts Centre
28 Edinburgh Road,
Dumfries DG1 1JQ

Planning is underway for the 2012 festival, and we are looking for committed community contacts who want to bring events into their area.

The festival is dedicated to bringing a diverse programme of high quality performance arts into the region. We are a voluntary organisation supported by two part time staff. We rely on local support to generate a buzz about each event.
If you wish to host an event at your venue, then it is essential that you work to produce the local audience. The festival can either programme an event in your area, or we have a small number of guarantee against loss grants of up to £500 to groups or individuals promoting events outside Dumfries.

We are looking for groups or individuals who; will work alongside the voluntary programming group to identify, events that will work in their area, will work take on local publicity, posters, word of mouth emails and can use this as an opportunity to generate interest of funds for their group.

In order to find out which organisations are keen for us to bring an event to their venue, we are holding a meeting with a simple agenda: we will tell you what we can do for you, and you can let us know what sort of event you want and how you want to stage it.

This is an open invite, please RSVP to email Peter Renwick on dgartsfestival@gmail.com.
