PRESS RELEASE
WE NEED A SMALL BUILDING OR SPACE
DO YOU NEED £50,000?
EDWARD MARSHALL TRUST – AWARD 2011/12
The Trustees are currently hunting for a live project contained within - a small building or space – which:
  • may be internal or external
  • can be new build or renovation
  • must have a distinct identity within a development
  • creates a significant social meeting space or focus
We prefer not to finance construction work. The elements proposed for our funding should be integral to the overall concept, focussing on the design, function and fitting.
An early stage of development is preferred and should be in the public, rather than private, domain. If in any doubt Email your enquiry to: edtrust@btinternet.com
Whilst each award is unique, funding available is generally up to £50,000. In some cases previously, this has been used as ‘seed corn’ to release further funding from other bodies. If the Award does not completely fund the project it must significantly enhance the design. Additionally, winners receive ‘in kind’ benefits in the form of mentoring by experts, professional photography, publicity etc. The Trustees expect to be involved in all stages of the project.
Modest applications, of less than £50,000, are most welcome as are more ambitious ones! The amount of the award will be at the discretion of the Trustees.
