Embodied Values Conference - Edinburgh

'Embodied Values: Bringing the Senses Back to the Environment' is a John E. Sawyer Seminar Series at the Institute for Advanced Studies in the Humanities (IASH) at the University of Edinburgh. Beginning with its first seminar in early September 2010, the project will run until December 2011, when it will culminate in an international conference.
The series is attempting to develop a wide-ranging and cross-disciplinary reflection on historical, contemporary and possible future relations between the senses, the environments within which they are supported and with which they interact, and value-construction. We aim to explore the contribution that the Humanities can make to environmental thinking and action today.
