QR code-tastic.

The Berlin based artist Sweza has hit on a splendid means of archiving graffiti by using the QR codes found in smart mobile phones.

Recording the image via digital camera and uploading it to GRAFFYARD this means that when the authorities or owners decide to remove graffiti, a simple paste up of the QR code becomes a time travelling trip back to when the original art was in place.

The following video explains it quite succinctly.

The Commonty has it's very own QR code. Naturally we do not endorse readers voluntarily printing the image onto adhesive labels and distributing them around the world in obscure places.
