'Truth titillates the imagination far less than fiction.'

Members of the Stove programme group met last night (Tuesday 11th October) to map out details of how we proceed with the first of our three beacon projects for 2012-13.
Provisionally titled ‘First Foot’, this event will hopefully be part of the Big Burns Supper festival planned for the 27th and 28th of January 2012.

With those a football loving nature placated that the meeting would end in time to allow us to get home and shout at our collective tellies, the enthusiastic group got down to business and unleashed a veritable torrent of splendid suggestions. These ranged from umbrella workshops; masks, battle of the Bards and bands, a flash mob ceilidh, a wandering Marquise de Sade, video projection from and onto the building, Burns rappers, and a haggis, neeps and tatties Burns supper in err wafer form...

Ten enthusiastic stovies volunteered to meet again next Thursday (20th) to investigate the practicalities of what we are planning on producing.  We will report back on The Commonty as these plans progress.
