Bursaries for Young Artists

I'm writing to you on behalf of IdeasTap, which is a not-for-profit organisation that helps young people get into the arts. We offer all kinds of free opportunities including funding, advice and networking to help young people develop their creative careers. We're also partnered with major arts organizations including Old Vic New Voices, Magnum Photos, National Youth Theatre and NSDF.

Earlier this year, we teamed up with Sky Arts to give two individual emerging artists from any discipline £30,000 each. We're now re-launching this award, through which we're hoping to give away three bursaries of £30,000 each.

To give people advice on how to apply and what we're looking for, we're holding free nationwide Q&A sessions - and have enlisted industry experts to help. On Friday 25th November, our expert panel will lead an afternoon seminar at Creative Scotland in Edinburgh. Stuart Murdoch, front man of Belle & Sebastian, will be the key speaker at this particular event. We're keen to make this opportunity accessible to as many young people aged 18-30 as possible. Do you think this might appeal to any of the young artists you work with?
