from Peter Renwick
One of the things that came out of the various
meetings was the need for a centralised event listings. How’s this as a
starting point? www.thegist.ning.com (name kindly supplied by Graham Main)
It’s
a membership site. Any promoter, venue, artist can join and upload
their own events. It then provides a public facing site, with events
listed in date order, and searchable by location or keyword, that can be
used to find out what is going on. If its well-used we could tailor
the functionality and look of it to fit our needs.
It needs is a bit of content, Go on up-load an event, let me know what you think.
Well done Peter!
ReplyDeleteRe the event - I'm trying to.
What I love about this is that it came directly from the session on Friday, and no matter how structured we make sessions - artists and makers will always have a strong sense of what they want to achieve. Organic. Embryonic. Whatever you want to call it. I hope the creative industries see's the potential in having a region wide magazine

It's so easy to add events and really user friendly. A great publicity tool and invaluable asset when it comes to programming.
