Welcome....The Gist

One of the things that came out of the various meetings was the need for a centralised event listings. How’s this as a starting point?  www.thegist.ning.com (name kindly supplied by Graham Main)
It’s a membership site. Any promoter, venue, artist can join and upload their own events. It then provides a public facing site, with events listed in date order, and searchable by location or keyword, that can be used to find out what is going on.  If its well-used we could tailor the functionality and look of it to fit our needs.
It needs is a bit of content, Go on up-load an event, let me know what you think.

  2. What I love about this is that it came directly from the session on Friday, and no matter how structured we make sessions - artists and makers will always have a strong sense of what they want to achieve. Organic. Embryonic. Whatever you want to call it. I hope the creative industries see's the potential in having a region wide magazine

  3. It's so easy to add events and really user friendly. A great publicity tool and invaluable asset when it comes to programming.
Spread the word and encourage everyone you know to use it!
