The Halton Quartet - Kirkmahoe,15th January

This astonishing Scottish quartet are hard to pigeonhole. Rooted in the folk tradition, they draw on many influences from around the globe and weave a rich and evocative world of sound from strings, bow and bellows. Influenced by Argentinean tango, the European classical school, New York jazz and Scottish traditional, expect stunning musicianship, high energy and an afternoon to blow away the January blues!
From Kirkmahoe they head off to feature at Celtic Connections in Glasgow.
