Madrugada Eterna

Here we go a lovely wee train trip in 1965 just before the Beeching cuts from Parton to Kirkcowan via Newton Stewart on a steam choo choo.

The soundtrack is supplied by the brilliant KLF duo of Jimmy Caughty and Bill Drummond whose faither was meenister in Newton Stewart!

    How short sighted they were - the future is electrified rail and, at some point, those linear parkways will have the rails relaid.

    I started my second year in high (secondary) school in 1965 - I remember it well. Thanks for the nostalgia (the music was great as well - a bit like Boards of Canada).
