Madrugada Eterna

Here we go a lovely wee train trip in 1965 just before the Beeching cuts from Parton to Kirkcowan via Newton Stewart on a steam choo choo.

The soundtrack is supplied by the brilliant KLF duo of Jimmy Caughty and Bill Drummond whose faither was meenister in Newton Stewart!

  1. How short sighted they were - the future is electrified rail and, at some point, those linear parkways will have the rails relaid.

I started my second year in high (secondary) school in 1965 - I remember it well. Thanks for the nostalgia (the music was great as well - a bit like Boards of Canada).

  2. That was an absolute pleasure - everything has changed and nothing has changed. It made me feel sad and happy at the same time, thanks for sharing.
