The Meaning of Fife

Local landscape gardener Charles Jencks has a tremendously exciting new project over in Fife on the site of an old Scottish Coal slag bing.

Titled 'Fife Earth', 2 miles of the former St Ninian's open cast are in the process of undergoing an intensive Jencksing, as literally thousands of tonnes of earth and dross are shifted about by big men with massive machines telling the story of Scotland's diaspora in the unique script of landform.
Education Scotland have an informative website with videos, images and text about this monumental task here.
