is the creative area to be in - according to the Creative Place Awards
given today in Edinburgh. Wigtown and Creetown have been crowned as two
of Scotland’s most creative places, part of the Scottish government's
Year of Creative Scotland 2012. £50,000 was given to Scotland’s Book
Town in the category for places with fewer than 2,500 residents. The
award will develop the book festival’s year-round programme and there
are lots of other exciting developments to come.
