Making the Most of the Moorlands is an exciting education project in Langholm. Managed by Cat Barlow it aims to raise awareness about the local moorland habitat and the Langholm Moor Demonstration Project through a programme of presentations, school activities, youth events and family activities. A new focus of the project is to explore the moorland habitat through the media of art, music and poetry.

Cat already has a musician who has agreed to work on a moorland musical project and she is now looking for a writer to help develop a story/poem/prose to base the music around. There is no funding for the writer at the moment but the project is looking for sources to cover fees.
