The Dumfries and Galloway Standard has reported the developing plans for new arts infrastructure in their own inimitable and inaccurate style.

Chief Reporter Craig Robertson has used the story to throw a few more clumsy punches in the direction of the poor corpse of DGArts - and made the wholly inaccurate statement that the new Chamber of Arts structure will 'be spending £177,000 of funding which is available for arts in the region'

....The Chamber of Arts has NO remit to spend any money whatsoever - all Cooncil expenditure on the Arts will remain within the gift of DGC. The Chamber of the Arts is a means for the Arts Sector to discuss, advocate and advise DGC on the best use of arts funding and also work with national funding bodies on behalf of the region.
