Windfarms and Woods


Consultation dates for the E-ON proposed Loch Urr WINDFARM  
(initial consultation phase; more consultation likely in future).

FOR PEOPLE WHO LIKE NATIVE WOODS - An invitation from Native Woodlands Discussion Group to join this year's group excursion, to native woods and wood pastures in Galloway.  Costs £60 (members) or £80 (non-members, with possible £2 discount ) - centered around Newton Sewart, includes buffet supper at seminar on Wednesday evening, transport to/from woods Thursday and Friday, admission to sawmill on Friday, plus ceilidh Friday evening.   This is a fun and interesting group of woody people from throughout Scotland; you'd meet new friends, find out what's new, and exchange lots of woodland ideas.
