Wynds, closes..that's how you do it!

From PAR+RS

Aberdeen City Council is seeking proposals for a temporary light work piece to be located in the Correction Wynd tunnel and to be installed in autumn 2012. The purpose of the commission is to create a high quality artistic piece which will attract people to use the Green as a pedestrian route through the Correction Wynd tunnel and promote a positive experience of the site and the city centre as a whole.
A budget of up to £18,000 has been set for the artist to carry out the commission.
This commission is supported through the Lively Cities (LiCi) project, a European partnership programme which is looking at alternative ways of strengthening communities by ‘reclaiming public space for public use’. They are seeking to commission an artist or arts organisation proficient in the medium of light/ projection and can demonstrate a history of delivering high quality, innovative art practice within the public realm.
