Lady Magpie and Me - Summer Fete

Lady Magpie & Me is organised by local designer/maker Leah Halliday. Having had to travel to exhibit at events and fairs to sell her handmade designs, she felt that it was about time there was an event that she would want to go to in the South West of Scotland. With a love of all things vintage it seemed only natural to organise a Summer Fête.

She has been thrilled with the response so far and stall holders will be travelling from as far as Aberdeen, Renfrew, Edinburgh, Cumbria and of course locally too to take part in the Summer Fete. There will be a whole host of goods on offer including wearable art made from re-fashioned collectable materials, acrylics, metals, precious pearls and gemstones, beautiful handmade and Scottish knitwear designs, award winning photography of glorious Galloway, decadent and indulgent handmade chocolate including the world’s first tartan chocolate, vintage kitchenalia, curiosities and collectibles, an eclectic collection of refreshed vintage furniture given a modern twist with fabric decoupage, fun and functional ceramic pieces, with a quirky, childlike style and so much more.

We are also thrilled to welcome along local singer/songwriter/musician Zoë Bestel with her trusty ukulele who will be performing, she'll also be personally signing her new single on the day! We also have the Dumfries Community Choir who will sing a serenade or two to visitors on the day.
