I'm involved with the UK Songwriting Festival, which happens this year in seclusion at Shennanton House.
That's 30 songwriters, plus tutors, who will write new songs throughout the week. Six songwriters from Scotland, plus a host of others from Europe, the Middle East, and England.
We'll be sharing the results at two gigs at Bladnoch Distillery, on 16 and 17 August, 7.30. Gigs are by invitation and free, and each will be a different line up. The songs are absolutely fresh, and this will be their first outing for the public - it's an exciting occasion, and I hope you may be free to come and share it. There will be a bar, too.
It would be lovely to see you there - and though I can't guarantee a balmy summer evening by the river, we can all hope! I can guarantee an exciting evening with a real buzz!
