Magical History Tours

Dumfries Cycle Club c.1900

The Dumfries Museum has joined forces with two local cycling organisations to create four cycle tours with a difference - exploring the hidden history of the area. The rides will be easy paced and a reasonable length (around 15-20 miles, which isn't as far as it sounds) and for the most part will stick to cycle paths and quiet rural roads. The tours will run on the last Saturday of every month (except December) and the first one will be on the 27th October, starting at 10:30 am at the Museum. It will explore the history of the Nith's Docks and take in Dock Park, Glencaple and Kingholm Quay. It's entirely free and there's no need to book, just turn up on the day.
