"The Saturday session on 2nd March will be designed for those with some experience of the creative arts in general. On Sunday 3rd March the event will be tailored for novices and for those who wish to find out more about this fascinating creative pursuit.

The day sessions will introduce participants to a range of topics: listening strategies; the diversity of creative
applications of sound; studio and field recording equipment; practical techniques of field recording; creating a personal sound archive; the most common presentational forms of sound as art.

The evening performance will offer participants the chance to gain an understanding of the kind of contemporary work being produced for live performance using recorded environmental sound, and will hopefully encourage participants to develop their own work."

The cost is £50 per person per day. For more information on the event and to book a place contact James Wyness either by email or on 01835 863061.
