Coming Out in Moffat

from Alan Thomson

Moffat Initiative and Moffat Book Events have asked me to prepare a bid for Moffat to be considered a 'Creative Place', a scheme that has this year provided substantial arts project funding for Pathhead and Huntly.
See - here
yes, yes...its the wrang Moffat but you get the idea
As a stepping stone I have submitted an outline bid for Moffat to participate in Day of the Region this October, a local European funded scheme, which will support a range of activities during the first weekend in October. See www.dayoftheregion.co.uk

Accordingly I would like to invite you and all the other local creative folk that you know; musicians, actors, artists, designers, writers, poets, craft makers, producers, promoters, arts administrators, arts appreciation groups, music societies, sound engineers, sculptors, digital designers etc etc. to come and discuss your ideas on how we might celebrate the creative talent of Moffat at a meeting at;

THE BUCCLEUCH ARMS on THURSDAY 21ST FEBRUARY at 7PM.

There will also be the possibility to discuss any potential arts use for part of the Moffat Old Academy if it is taken into community ownership, ahead of the Community Council's public meeting on the topic the following week.

Please pass this message around your networks to anyone you think might be interested as I am only beginning to compile my list of talented Moffatonians.

Kind regards

Alan Thomson
