The exhibition has resulted from an exploration of the landscape of Scotland on the historic road leading to and from Edinburgh, linking the urban world of the Edinburgh Festival with the physical reality of Scotland’s town, village and farmscape in the footsteps of such artists as Joseph Beuys (German), Gunther Uecker (German), 
Paul Neagu (Romanian), Mario Merz (Italian), Jean Le Roy (French), Tadeusz Kantor (Polish),
Ian Hamilton Finlay (Scottish), Archie Sutter Watt (Scottish), Henning Christiansen (Danish)
NB. Meikle Seggie is the name of a farm
