Representing Scotland @ The Biennale...

It's been a quieter week on the commonty than we've had recently... which has given some of us enough time to wish we were heading to Venice to catch some of the Biennale action.

Representing Scotland this year are three artists, Corin Sworn, Duncan Campbell, and Hayley Tompkins.
Corin Sworn's Endless Innovation installation
Still from Duncan Campbell's Make it New John
Hayley Tompkins' Tele, found objects and gouache

Presenting a collection of installation work, film and painted objects, Scotland + Venice showcases new work by Scottish based artists (the three selected this year are GSA alumni and are all based in the city) in the 15th century Palazzo Pisani (S. Marina) which has been the home of Scotland  + Venice since 2009.

If you're not looking like making it to beautiful Venice this year, each of the selected artists representing Scotland will have a solo show at the Common Guild in Glasgow over the summer.

As ever, More here

  1. Just to remind those interested that Richard Demarco will be giving his first hand impressions of and commenting on the 2013 Venice Biennale when he is here at Moffat Gallery for 'Meet the Artist' on Sat (15th June) 2-4pm.
