Sunday Film Afternoons at The Nail Factory - Hannah Frank

The Nail factory will be showing a film about the Glaswegian artist Hannah Frank at 2pm each Sunday until 28th July. Hannah Frank was one of the Glasgow girls producing prints and sculptures until the age of 90. The film portrays a spirited woman who worked prolifically Sadly her work is stored in the care home where she died in Glasgow and needs to be seen and appreciated. Frank a Russian Jew was active in publishing in the 20's and 30's. 

The exhibition is privileged to have many Frank originals. The exhibition begs the question why Hannah Frank's work was not included in the Glasgow Girls exhibition in Kirkcudbrightshire two years ago? The launch buffet was provided by the Scottish Jewish Council.
