The Big Event @ Cairnsmore

Acclaimed Dumfries-based dance-theatre company Oceanallover are staging their latest project 'Pollen' at Cairnsmore of Fleet's THE BIG EVENT on Sunday 21 July. This contemporary production, inspired by the marvellous shapes in the microscopic forms of pollen, is about growth and the migration of ideas explored through dance and spectacular costume. Set in one of south-west Scotland's wildest and most dramatic landscapes - Cairnsmore of Fleet National Nature Reserve - the spectacle itself is reinforced by the beauty of the natural surroundings.

This free event of music, theatre and dance inspired by nature, is part of the region's Year of Natural Scotland 2013 celebrations, and is supported by Creative Scotland and Scottish Natural Heritage.

Music performances at 2pm and 4pm, theatre-dance performance at 3pm (approximate timings). Free entry and parking.
