CO2 Edenburgh - Discussions @ Edinburgh Art Festival

The Edinburgh Art Festival has kicked off this month - and in keeping with the festival's Parley theme, CO2 Edenburgh (a collab between Creative Carbon Scotland, artists Tim Collins and Reiko Goto with Chris Malcolm, ecoartscotland and Art Space Nature which is exploring the impacts of Edinburgh’s Festivals on climate change and asking the question ‘Can art change the climate?’) is hosting a series of free discussions at the Spirit of the Air exhibition. (more details here)

The discussions, which will consider questions of art, science, activism and environmentalism, begin on Wednesday 7th August 3 – 5pm with Bringing the emotion of the arts to bear on the rigour of the sciences. Speakers will be: Harry Giles (poet and theatre maker); Dr Timothy Barker (lecturer in digital media, Univesity of Glasgow). These will continue throughout the festival and will all take place in the Tent Gallery, on Westport, Edinburgh EH3 9DF.
