Youth Arts Theatre Training Opportunity

This opportunity may be up in Aberdeen, but there are funding opportunities available - for further details check out the website

We are holding a weekend event in late March, which includes a route where delegates can do a two day course on ‘An Introduction to Arts Management’, led by Artswork.

The route is suitable for individuals who are early career arts managers, or those looking to develop their skills with a view to moving into management.

An Introduction to Arts Management (part of Interchange 2014, Aberdeen)

Now in its 10th year, Interchange (formerly SKILL UP) is Scotland’s only annual training conference for arts professionals who work with young people.

Delegates can signup for 'An Introduction to Arts Management' - a certificated CPD training programme of four connected sessions over two days, facilitated by Artswork. The course is suitable for early career arts managers or those looking to develop their skills with a view to moving into management.

Workshop content:
• What does your organisation need?
• Getting your team on board.
• Project management.
• Case studies and examples of best practice including budgets, funding and effective evaluations.

Trainer: Helen Cadbury, Artswork
Helen has extensive practical and management experience in professional theatre, youth theatre and  community arts settings. She has delivered projects in libraries, schools, and community venues. Helen has  worked as an actor, teacher and director with young people and has developed several cross-arts projects.
