is there really no middle ground folks.....

Worked for EST Scotland a few years back, and appalled by the slavish adherence to Anglo-centric solutions (e.g. Continual emphasis on cavity wall insulation - totally irrelevant for much Scottish housing stock - and on large-scale wind rather than large-scale hydro. Si no, I think they lost the middle ground, and the high moral ground, quite some time ago!
