From 5pm on Monday 23rd June 2014, we’ll pack 24 hours with live theatre from Scotland and beyond on the theme of ‘Independence’ and there's still plenty of time for you to take part.

There will be performance 'hubs' and crews based in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Dumfries, Ayr and Aberdeen with more being confirmed soon. Or, let your imagination go wild and perform in any location you chose – a stage, a living room, a park, a village hall, an office or classroom.

Don't just take our word for it, here's what Five Minute Theatre-makers from around the world have to say So, there's nothing left to do but Sign up, get involved and take part.  There are 3 ways to take part in Five Minute Theatre  - Pre-record and send your performance to us in advance.  - Perform on the day and a roving crew will come and broadcast you live online.  - Perform in one of our performance ‘hubs’ with your team & audience live on the day. No matter what option you pick, you still need to perform your Five Minute Theatre in front of an audience.  The closing date for submissions is 5pm on Sunday 23rd March 2014. Successful applicants will be announced in early April 2014.
