Electric Theatre Workshop

we make a real commitment to the creative health of our region,
encouraging artists to draw from it and urging communities to
participate in it.

Collaboration and Inclusion are at the centre
of our company ethos, and in just 3 years we have developed one of the
largest Community Arts organisations in Scotland, by creating a
foundation platform for several cultural projects including; Dumfries
Youth Theatre, Dumfries & Galloway Youth Theatre, Dumfries
Community Choir, Dumfries School of Music, Upper Nithsdale Youth Theatre
and Northwest Youth Theatre.
The company is about to embark on a period of significant development, and we are looking for other people who share our belief that all members of our community should have access to quality creative experiences regardless of their social or economic background, in an inclusive and positive environment.
OUR AIMS
Platform emergent talent
Inspire local people to fulfil their creative potential
Increase access and participation to performing arts
Develop positive partnerships through solidarity and engagement
OUR GOALS FOR THE NEXT THREE YEARS
GOAL 1: create great performance
Goal 2: Reach more audiences and deepen engagement
Goal 3: Secure financial sustainability and diversify income
Goal 4: Ensure robust and efficient use of all resources
We have a small staff team of 2 full time and 1 part time staff member, plus a freelance team who support our creative projects throughout Dumfries & Galloway. The team is led by Graham Main as Artistic Director
