Commonwealth Youth Summit Volunteers is open to anyone aged 18 years and over who are willing to volunteer their time, energy, and/or skills to work on the Commonwealth Youth Summit being held in Dumfries on the 6-9th of June 2014. Volunteers will be an integral part of running the Youth Summit, with involvement in the build and takedown of the campsite, interacting with young people and other guests and assisting with the technical aspects of events.
We are looking for enthusiastic people to volunteer in roles such as:

  • Site Crew – to assist with the build and takedown of the campsite
  • Guides – escorting groups to & from events, guiding around the campsite
  • Social Media Reporters – Blogging, update social media sites, interviews & news articles
  • Photographers – photograph at events, in and around the campsite
  • Frontline Site Attendants – serve as the first port of call for guests throughout the weekend and assist with any enquiries
Although no experience is necessary, specialist skill sets are invited and could include:
  • Foreign Language speakers
  • First Aiders
  • Driving Licenses
  • Photography
Information nights will be held in April, locations and dates will be confirmed as soon as possible.
