Swedish Nyckelharp to make appearance at the Moniaive Folk Festival

From Wendy Stewart
As a response to the Commonty`s comment on the last Kirkmahoe concert with Olov Johansson and Catriona Mackay being    ‘likely your only chance to hear a Swedish nyckelharp this year’
well come on over to Moniaive Folk Festival in May and you`ll hear Anna Rynefors playing this amazing instrument along with her compatriots in the great band Svanevit travelling from Sweden especially to play at Moniaive this year.

They will performing on a star studded bill with Scotland`s best song writer Karine Polwart , Northern Ireland`s finest Craobh Rua and England`s forward thinking folk septet The Old Dance School.
With an opening dance featuring Caper Ceilidh Band, Cera Impala and the New Prohibition plus local acts and a Saturday packed with workshops and free children`s events, this is the place to be 9th – 11th May.
