Scottish Youth Theatre Opportunities - Scottish Youth Theatre’s Summer Festival

Foundation course for 12 to 15 years

Young people aged between 12 and 15 can now apply for Scottish Youth Theatre’s 2-week Foundation Course. This performance course offers the chance to work on general drama skills through a series of workshops and rehearsals. Participants work with professional directors and specialist skills tutors to devise, rehearse and perform a new and exciting piece of theatre.

 Intermediate Ensemble Course 14 to18 years

The Intermediate Course allows participants to experience being part of the ensemble cast in Scottish Youth Theatre’s new adaptation of J.M. Barrie's Peter Pan. Content:
• Skills workshops in voice, movement and other disciplines.
• Work with professional director, designer, choreographer, composer and technical team.
• Perform as part of the ensemble cast in Scottish Youth Theatre's Peter Pan.

3-week Performance Course 16 to 25 years

The three-week Performance course gives all participants a taste of high-profile professional theatre work. Participants have the opportunity to concentrate on their chosen area of interest in Theatre Arts: whether you’re an actor, director, choreographer, stage manager or technician, you will have the opportunity to work in a large team of motivated people, learning all about making high-quality theatre productions.
