Opportunity: Sound, Visual and Lighting Tender @ Wigtown Book Festival

Established in 2007, Wigtown Festival Company aims to develop the literary and cultural wealth of Wigtown – Scotland’s National Book Town.  The core part of our activity is Wigtown Book Festival, now in its 16th year.  The Festival takes place over 10-days each autumn (26 September – 5 October 2014), with a programme of more than 200 events for adults, young people and children.  Events take place in several venues in and around Wigtown and many of these have sound, visual and lighting requirements.


Following the previous 4-year agreement, Wigtown Festival Company is issuing this invitation to tender and brief to companies or individuals interested in undertaking the remit as described within the document.  To download the full tender specification, please click here.  

Applicants should register interest by email with anne@wigtownbookfestival.com to receive a copy of the coversheet required with each application and a copy of the 2013 programme as a guideline for the number of events.

Applications should be no more than three pages of A4, should answer each element of the brief in order and must include a proposed budget based on the information provided within the brief. Applications should include details of two referees for or with whom similar work has been carried out in the past.
5.4 Applications may be submitted electronically to anne@wigtownbookfestival.com or by post (to arrive no later than the deadline) for the attention of: Anne Barclay, Festival Manager, Wigtown Festival Company, County Buildings, Wigtown, DG8 9JH. Receipt of all applications will be acknowledged by email.

The deadline for applications will be 5pm on Monday 14 July 2014.
