Funding Opportunities

From Dumfries and Galloway External Funding Unit

The latest funding news from the council is now available on the DGC website here 
This includes details on the New Community Safety Fund, advice on Match Funding sources, and updates on the Big Lottery and McRobert Trust.

The Heritage Lottery Fund will be doing one to one sessions in D&G this month, appearing 

Tuesday 26 August 9.30 -12.00: A’ the Airts, 8-12 High St, Sanquhar DG4 6BL

The Rural Parliament will produce a shared manifesto for rural Scotland whilst celebrating the strengths and achievements of rural communities and are particularly keen to hear what you think. 
Scottish Rural Action, the organisation behind the Rural Parliament, is asking people in rural communities to be involved by shaping the Parliament’s agenda. Simply complete their quick survey here

If you would like to run a local Rural Parliament event involving 20 -50 people then there is up to £500 funding available to support you. To get details send an email to emma@scottishruralparliament.org.uk 

The Plunkett Foundation has announced the launch of new initiative, the ‘Urban community-owned shops pilot. 
Working in partnership and funded by the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation, the pilot aims to support urban communities to create and benefit from new and sustainable community-owned shops. The shops will offer better access to good food, enhance community cohesion and provide robust retail solutions. The pilot will include a programme of events, enterprise support including specialist advice and resources, and financial help including grants, fundraising guidance and loan-provision.
