Opportunity: South West Picture Show Coordinator

From South West Picture Show

COORDINATOR ROLE FOR SOUTH WEST PICTURE SHOW FILM FESTIVAL
Fee £2,000 including expenses

We are looking for a flexible, responsible freelance co-ordinator to manage the logistics of preparing and delivering the South West Picture Show film festival (3-19 October 2014), reporting to Dumfries and Galloway Council’s Film Theatre Officer and supported by the region’s Area Arts Hub and Regional Convenors (Dumfries and Galloway Chamber of Arts).

The South West Picture Show is a film festival for Dumfries and Galloway funded by Regional Screen Scotland. It takes inspiration from the region’s thriving cinema culture, from village halls to independent cinemas and the great outdoors. It is a festival of community and collaboration, celebrating the act of cinema-going with headline outdoor, site specific, live cinema events, communal film watching experiences in village halls across this vast region, and opportunities to eat, drink and be merry.

This freelance role requires knowledge and experience set out in the brief, which can be found via this link to the Chamber of Arts website. Submissions will be assessed on how well they demonstrate the following: an understanding of the brief and a clear methodology for delivering it; relevant skills and experience; recent relevant work; and a breakdown of activities and outputs that will be undertaken in order to fulfil the brief. Value for money will also be a consideration.

To make a submission for this role you must refer to the brief and make your submission to the required address by the date required. The deadline for submissions is noon on 18 August 2014.
