Light Up Dumfries

From Electric Theatre Workshop

Picture from Dumfries & Galloway Life Magazine
It has become the biggest Community Arts event anywhere in Scotland in just one year - and it takes centre stage as the flagship event of the Big Burns Supper Festival.

Throughout the Winter months - we will be working with over 3000 people from a variety of community groups, schools and clubs in every corner of Dumfries & Galloway.

We provide all of the materials thanks to our generous funding support from the Holywood Trust, and we give your group leaders the training you need to make an impressive lantern.

This year's Carnival theme is the Year of Light which will mark UNESCO's impressive thematic year.

This year we have a strong emphasis on our communities - so if you want to find a reason to get your neighbours together - why not create a Street Lantern, get everyone together and get those creative juices flowing?
