Spring Fling Photography Sessions

From Spring Fling

Places are still available at the photography sessions with Shannon Tofts on the 11th of September. Shannon is the man behind many of the beautiful photos of Spring Fling Artists' work including these pieces by Clare Dawdry - We Make Pots - book here now to avoid disappointment

11 September 2014 | Gracefield Arts Centre, Dumfries

We have invited the renowned product photographer, Shannon Tofts to deliver photography sessions for applicants to Spring Fling 2015. Regarded as one of the best product photographers in Scotland, Shannon has worked with artists in Dumfries & Galloway in the pass two years in the run up to the application deadline. His photographs have been important for maintaining the quality of images in the Spring Fling brochure and helped many artists to expand their career beyond the region.

For each session, Shannon will set his temporary studio based on the work the artists brought in and give each artist advice on how to best photography their particular artwork. 3 finished digital photographs will be sent to the artists, additional photographs are available at extra cost.

Priorities will be given to new applicants and artists who are qualified as Step-Up Artist (see below for details).

The Cost
With support from The Barfil Charitable Trust through our Step-up Bursary Scheme, we hope the photography sessions will benefit artists who are just starting out with cost reductions available.
For Established Artists: £75 per session | For Step-up Artists: £45 per session
Each additional photograph will be charged at £15 – payable directly to the photographer during the session
