White Fox Gallery - Opportunity for 3D Artist and Craft Makers

From CABN Borders

Deadline for submissions: Wednesday 17th September 2014

Calling 3D artists and crafts persons

The White Fox Gallery is the new gallery at the Hirsel Arts & Craft Centre, located next to the wonderful Hirsel Lake. Co-run by photographer Stephen J. Whitehorne and his partner Virginie Renard, the gallery primarily shows and sells their fine art photographic prints, paintings and art painted furniture. The White Fox Gallery is now looking to invite 3D artists to display and sell some of their artworks in its light & airy space, as guest artists, for a 3 months period per artist in exchange for a fair commission.

Following on from the current and very successful display by a highly reputed woodturner (1st week July - 1st week October), they are now seeking artists/ crafts persons working in other 3D media for the following period (October - Christmas). They are also seeking artists to exhibit from beginning April 2015 for 3 months and beginning July 2015 for 3 months. Any medium considered; the main criteria for selection being quality and finish, fluidity of expression and how well the work sits alongside Stephen and Virginie's own. Their work explores nature's beauty lyrically, symbolically, poetically…

Of particular interest:
indoor and outdoor sculpture,
creative textiles,
porcelain work,
stained glass objects,
ceramics etc.

(**At this stage furniture makers cannot be considered)

Firstly, applicants should submit three low res. images of the work they would like to exhibit by email to: info@whitefoxgallery.co.uk.

- A shortlist will then be compiled (by Friday 19th September);
- Selected artists will be invited, by email, on Monday 22nd September to bring their work for final selection between 23rd - 26th September.
- A confirmation of selection will then be made by email on Monday 29th September and
- Delivery of artworks to take place on Tuesday 30th September or Wednesday 1st October
** Artists not contacted by 29th September should assume that their submission was not chosen on this occasion.

 To enquire, please tel: 07980 402 755 or email on info@whitefoxgallery.co.uk. Further information about the gallery can be found on the website or on the White Fox Gallery Facebook page.
