Cuts Down South

For sure lots of us will have colleagues and friends in England that have been affected by the funding decisions announced last week by Arts Council England. We were sent a link to the full list of organisations that have had their funding withdrawn -  it reads like a list of passengers lost in a shipwreck.

It makes you think about the rights and wrongs of all this - and also that we need to be thinking this stuff through in the Scottish context. There is the 'big picture' of the value of culture...but I figure we all need to stand together on that (?)...then there IS the question of the best way for a democratic society to 'support/invest' in its culture with limited resources.

Any starters on this?
