Kirkmahoe Concert: The Auriga Strings

Kirkmahoe Parish Church, Kirkton


Led by Iona Hassan, this dynamic young team of string players from across the UK is building a strong following for their exciting chamber music concerts. Main features of the programme will be:

Johannes Brahms - String Sextet No.1 in Bb major
Richard Strauss - Capriccio for String Sextet

There will also be some lighter, popular pieces.  Look out for the return of Feargus Hetherington – playing viola, who thrilled the Kirkmahoe audience back in January with the duo Maelasta.  

Kirkmahoe Concerts is a non-profit community endeavour – featuring high quality live music across the spectrum of classical, jazz, folk and fusion – and with an emphasis on high quality performance and modest tickets prices.
