Emily Smith headlines 'In Our Town' for the Final Event

Scarcely needing an introduction, Emily Smith one D&G's favourite musicians, is headlining the finally event of In Our Town. Described as the Joni Mitchell of Scottish Folk. EMILY SMITH is one of the leading singers of the contemporary Scottish folk scene. Her powerful, clear vocals have gained her award winning, worldwide recognition. As a songwriter Emily has been likened to 'a Scottish Joni Mitchell', but as a passionate collector she is equally adept at presenting fresh and evocative interpretations of traditional songs. This is the final event of In Our Town, and timed to celebrate the arrival of the elite cycling event The Tour of Britain in Dumfries.  
She is supported by Zoe Bestell, and Lewis Ferguson.

The 
event is free and unticketed, seats  are provided available on a first come basis.

Merchants Café will be open specially providing evening snacks and hot drinks.
