Sharon King and the Reckless Angels play Kirkmahoe Concerts 3 November

The next of the Kirkmahoe Concerts will feature Sharon King and the Reckless Angels – at Dalswinton Village Hall, on Saturday 3 November, 7.30pm.

An award winning Scottish songwriter with a talent for spinning yarns, Sharon King continues to build a reputation for vibrant, funny, relaxed and intimate live shows. Her trio is made up by Amy Geddes (fiddle, viola, vocals) and Vera van Heeringen (guitar, mandolin, vocals). Edinburgh-based Sharon is a natural raconteur with an easy grace. Her astute observations on Scottish life come through in her contemporary song-writing style, wrapped in easy banter and peppered with tales of her travels. Colours and textures are woven through the narratives by the mandolin, fiddle, viola and voices of The Reckless Angels.

The band will be featuring material from their latest album Nothing=Everything.  King’s song writing has developed to award winning standards and her vocals are captivating, pure and clear.  Another great Kirkmahoe Concert in the making and not to missed!

Tickets £8 from The Midesteeple in Dumfries, Thomas Tosh in Thornhill or call David Clark on 01387  740045.

  1. hello, Sharon King here. Just a wee correction. Laura Beth Salter (THE SHEE) will be with us on Saturday at Kirkmahoe, not Vera. However, both Vera and Laura Beth sing like angels and play a mean mandolin! Laura Beth and I will be joined by Dumfries's own Amy Geddes. See you then Kirkmahoe, we are looking forward very much to our gig. x
