EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST

Dumfries and Galloway LEADER Programme is delighted to announce the launch of the 2013 search for communities to take part in ‘Day of the Region’; an exciting initiative aimed at rural towns and villages across Dumfries and Galloway.

Crocketford's Day of the Region
• Could your community get involved and benefit from a showcase of the many groups, organisations, individuals and businesses which operate in your area?
• Would your organisations welcome the opportunity to showcase what they do and recruit new members?
• Do you have a skill which you could share in your community?
• Could your community benefit from everyone feeling better connected and more aware of what is available right on their doorstep?

Find out how your community can get involved by getting in touch now – simply contact Derek Hextall, Project Officer with your name, organisation (if applicable), contact number and the community you are suggesting. Email
derek.hextall@dumgal.gov.uk or phone 01387 850 228.

Small grants are available to help facilitate the events and activities that you will deliver as part of ‘Day of the Region’ as well as support and guidance throughout your project development – so get in touch now to find out more!

Please don’t assume someone else has nominated your community, even if you or your community have been involved before – get in touch and ensure your community is part of it!

Initial expressions of interest should be submitted by Monday 3rd December 2012; Contact Name, Organisation and Community. There is no commitment at this point – just let us know if you would like to know more – SIMPLY HIT REPLY NOW!
