Inbetween:Dumfries...were you there?

Feedback from The Stoves week of 'live art, performance and discussion' in Dumfries has been very positive. Highlights included the site of Doonhamers standing in their river peering through 'Nithscopes' and the Lost Supper's riotous debate about the potential of Beaver Discos as a flood prevention measure for the Whitesands.

There was a palpable sense of optimism and collective action around the events and the much maligned Queen of the South last week. Combining the themes of main speakers there is excitement about 'Participative Subversive Democracy' as part of the culture strategy for reviving Dumfries.
